- Advanced tooth decay
- Replacement after root canal therapy
- Missing teeth

Should I choose an implant-retained bridge?

How long do crowns and bridges last?
th proper care, crowns and bridges can last between 5 to 10 years, though longevity can vary based on material, location in the mouth, and your oral hygiene practices.
What should I do if I have a problem with my crown or bridge?
If your restoration is damaged, avoid swallowing any pieces, and use over-the-counter dental cement as a temporary fix. Contact York House Dental immediately for an emergency appointment.
Our approach
Metal-free, and matched in person
When our dentists first qualified, porcelain bonded to metal crowns were the norm; now almost everything we place is ceramic, and a metal crown is used only very rarely, when there is not enough space for a ceramic one. Most of our patients have no metal in their mouths at all.
The hardest thing in dentistry, in our experience, is a single coloured tooth at the front. The procedure is straightforward; the colour is the difficult part, because a front tooth is never one colour and shade has three dimensions. For front-tooth work we send patients to our laboratory, twenty minutes from the practice, for a spectrum shade on the computer, because your own view of the tooth you will wear matters.

“Teeth at the front are not monochromatic, they’re not one colour.”
